I don't know which I like the most: the poses or the hilarious expressions! I get the feeling that this could easily be a poster for an animated series/movie/something along those lines... Too bad that it's not!
Perhaps today I'll finally have the answer to this : does anyone know what those elbow patches are for??
I like the way you do your compositions. It's never boring. Do/did you go to an arts school?
I can't really compose anything. I don't even think about it when I draw. I mean I do when I'm making a comic book page, but when I do "simple" drawings/posters, that kind of playing with background/foreground, embedding, superimposing etc...doesn't even cross my mind. I think it's because I'm too focused on drawing the characters properly.
Elbow patches are there for being awesome/every thing needs them.
I went to art school but I never finished!
That's not a terrible thing. A lot of people skip over the basics and don't learn proper human anatomy, drapery, perspective, etc. without realizing that you need to know the rules to break them. Also, remember the basics of cartooning like exaggerated lines of motion, etc.
If you need help with layouts and design, I would recommend reading more comics and looking at graphic design. If you're familiar with some of the elementary elements of design, it'll help out all of your art.
